Travel to Curug Cibereum, Cibodas

There are so many unexpected thing happen in my life lately. Today, I’ve been with him for a year. We already planed the trip for next week to climb together again since month ago. I cant hardly wait for our upcoming trip.

Me and Faaiq planned to travel to Gunung Gede Pangrango. Since, to climb mt. Gede you have to travel in group at least three person, you can’t climb only two person. So we decided to asked Eni (my new rommate at apartment) who has the same hobby to travel with us. To travel to Mt. Gede Pangrango you have to fill online reservation first, then after register you have to pay. 

You will get the booking number and you have to change directly to the basecamp to get the ticket. 3 weeks ago, me and faaiq came to Cibodas the place to get the ticket. We left my apartment at 8 in the morning. It takes 3 hours to Cibodas by motor cycle. The trafic was not really crazy and the weather was so good.

 

After take a break, we visit TNGP office to change the ticket. Before change the ticktet make sure you already prepare all of the requirement which are:

- Copy of your identity card.

- Printed online registration form (you will get after your payment confirmed)

- Payment transfer (if you pay using mobile banking you have to print the screen capture of payment transfer)

- The letter from doctor to proof that you are phisycally health enough to climb (if you dont have, there are some place to take medical check up arround there or there is a person to make the copy for you. It costed IDR 25.000 each person)

After got the ticket, Faaiq ask me to take a walk around. There are few waterfalls that you can reach near there. It’s about 3 KM from basecamp. We decided to visit waterfall, it takes at latest 1 and half hour walking. To enter the forest we have to pay about IDR 18.500 each person. The track is quite hard. It was slipery because the stone is always moist. TNGP is also one of rain forest that has high level of rain. It always rain everyday and has dense forest, eventhough you travel at the afternoon that place will always dark. We walk slowly and take some picture. About 15 minutes walking you will see the concervation place for bird. Then, there are also a small lake that called Telaga Biru. After Telaga Biru you will find the bridge, it quite long. The waterfall is only 15 minutes away from the bridge.

There are three waterfalls at the same place. Local people called it curug cibereum. Curug means waterfall. We arrived at the waterfall at 3, so we only have about one hour to play there. It was cold so i just played around and stay away from the water. Me and Faaiq decided to take a look to the last waterfall, sadly we found so much garbage around there. It was sad, because it still lack of people awareness to throw the garbage at the trash bag that already provided at that placed.

At 4 pm after ashar, we decided to go back to the basecamp. It was hard rain and we have to step carefully because it was steep and slippery on the way down. It only take less than one hour to go down.

After short escape we and faaiq decided to take a rest at the basecamp. There are house of local people to provide the shelter to rest. We only pay about IDR 5.000 to rest per/night.
