Let me show you the wonderful Indonesia from 0 to above 3000 MASL

Indonesia is the tropical country that has more than 17 thousand islands. Some people must know Indonesia has Bali as the beautiful island for honey moon. But not only Bali we have, there are some others place that you must visit. Besides island, Indonesian also known for volcanoes, there are hundreds volcanoes in Indonesia. 

Here I will show you top ten majestic view of my wonderful Indonesia from zero to above three thousand meters above sea level place to travel from my travel journey.

1. Majestic Sunset in Bali

    Bali has the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen, no doubt. As we know this small island is really full of beautiful scenery. Here, the sunset from Kuta Beach that you can spend your time before fly back home, because Kuta Beach located near Ngurah Ray Airport.

2. Pulau Harapan - Kepulauan Seribu

   Located near Capital City Jakarta, you can pick several island as your travel destination in Kepulauan Seribu. Seribu in Indonesia means thousand, but the total island is less than thousand yet still more than a hundred. One of island di Kepulauan Seribu is Pulau Harapan. You can go there by using speed boat from Marina Harbour or by budged boat from Angke Harbour or you can find travel agent to take you there, the price is really affordable.

3.  Lake View from Tanjuang Alay, Lake Singkarak

    The largest lake in West Sumatera is Lake Singkarak located in Solok, West Sumatera. Some people know West Sumatera for the spicy food like Rendang. Not only the food, if you travel to West Sumatera you will also amazed by the beauty of Minangkabau Nature.

    This place named Tanjung Alay, here you can spend your day by watching the beauty of Lake Singkarak from above.

4. Blue Lake Cisoka and Kandang Godzilla Tangerang

    If you live in Jakarta and you don’t have much time to travel, I suggest you to take one day trip to these places. It only takes about 2-3 hour from Jakarta.

    Blue Lake Cisoka and Kandang Godzilla are the post sand mining area. Located near residents, the people near the area restore the place become nice place to travel.

5. Body Rafting at Green Canyon, Pangandaran

    For you who really like extreme outdoor activities, I suggest you to travel to Pangandaran. There is place there to do Body Rafting called Green Canyon. Here, you will experience floating, jumping and swimming on the river. Don’t worry because the water is really clear. 

6.  Mt. Prau 2,665 MASL and Sikunir Peak 2,360 MASL, Dieng Plateu

     Have you ever heard about Dieng Plateu? Dieng Plateu is the highest village in Indonesia. Every day, you will see the morning mist. This place is always cold even when the sun shine brightly.

     Well, if you travel to Dieng and you want to try to hike, you have to take the trip to Mount Prau and Sikunir Peak. You can enjoy few mountain view form the top of Mount Prau. If you want to see the golden sunsire the Sikunir Peak offer you the really majestic golden sunrise ever.

7. Mt. Papandayan 2,667 MASL, West Java 

   If you are still at the beginner level of mountain hiker, besides Prau there is Also Mount Papandayan in West Java for your Consideration. Even though, mount Papandayan not really high but the place up there is breathtaking.

8. Mt. Merbabu 3,145 MASL, Central Java

    The last top 3 is all about the mountain. I bet everyone who already hike to Merbabu won’t say no to back again. The scenery of Merbabu is really amazing. If you want to see green savannah it’s good to you to travel at rainy season, but you have to be careful to the storm. If you travel at dry season you will see yellow savannah and if you are lucky enough at the night you will see the Milky Way.

9. Mt. Lawu 3,265 MASL, Central Java and East Java

   

    Mount Lawu located between Central and East Java. You can hike to Lawu without the tent because there is shelter near the Peak called Warung Mbok Yem. There is also foods supplies that you can buy there. The highest warung or shop in Indonesia is here in Lawu.

 

10. Mt. Sumbing 3,371 MASL, Central Java

     The last one from my recommendation is Mount Sumbing. I am not recommend you to hike this mountain if you are not fit enough because the track there is really hard but it will paid off by the view.

Actually, for me it will never be enough to tell you how wonderful of Indonesia is in thousand words.
