Few years in Jakarta it doesn't make me know evertything
about this City. I am officially work in Jakarta at October 2013 after finished
my study at President University Jababeka West Java. Actually, as the one who
love the history Jakarta is just like the place that i can explore from the
historical side because Jakarta has a long history far away before the
establishment of our country Indonesia.
At this time i will explore the old town known as “Kota
Tua” Jakarta. I have been there for two times. The first time i came about
2014, and there is no significant change about that place. Still crowded but
the atmosphere still create the sensation that we were standing at the
historycal place in Jakarta.
Saturday afternoon after check up from Hospital, i need
some fress air to forget my ill. I asked Faaiq to take me to same place. And we
decided to visit the Old Town because to get there is easy from my place.
The History
of Old Town
Kota Tua Jakarta ("Jakarta Old Town"),
officially known as Kota Tua,[1] is a neighborhood comprising the
original downtown area of Jakarta, Indonesia. It is also known as Oud Batavia (Dutch
"Old Batavia"), Benedenstad (Dutch "Lower City",
contrasting it with Weltevreden, de
Bovenstad ("Upper
City")), or Kota Lama (Indonesian "Old Town"). It spans 1.3
square kilometres withinNorth
Jakarta and West
Jakarta (Kelurahan Pinangsia, Taman Sari and Kelurahan Roa Malaka, Tambora). The largely Chinese downtown area of Glodok is a part of Kota Tua. (Source

Well, there is a court
that called Taman Fatahillah surrounding by severeal builgdings; Museum Wayang,
Museum Seni dan Keramik, Post Office and several place to eat like Cafe Batavia
and some others.
There are two other
Museum arround there which are Museum
Bank Mandiri (Been there at 2013) and Museum Bank Indonesia.
I recomend this
historical place for those of you who likes history because there are so much
historical place there. Beside that, there are also local artist who wear some
atributes like play as a ghost, as dutch princess and so on.
At that time, there
